News
If you're like me, having a lot of time and fun slacking my life away at home because the END is ending, you'll have read the news. The ACJC ragging incident is too much of a ballyhoo. Watch the videos here. LOL I don't know what to say. Either way is too extreme. I can't condemn it but I can't support it either. It's like, it just happened and it's not like it happens frequently. Why is STOMP picking on individual incidents and publicizing it like it happens ever other day in schools?

Like, how often do you see that in YOUR school? I never did, the worst I've ever seen is probably getting cake over somebody's face because nobody will want to eat the cream. ._. Or maybe singing the birthday song so loudly in the canteen it embarrasses the person. That's about it.

The way they talk about it in the news, it's like ragging incidents are part of school. The whole story is so hyped up because worrying parents start getting concerned, about whether their bright JC kid is involved in these kinda stories in school, and they start voicing their concerns, and then principals start coming out and assuring them, and then the news sieve out the most sensationalizing stuff that people say to promote their story, to hype it up even further.

Like how the news only choose to print the casual remarks of the AC principal. She surely said more than just counseling. Because if the news print only these, parents get more worried and they start making more comments, coming up with more what ifs and then there's more story to sell! The hyper, the better!

It's always like that. Remember the violence-in-schools saga two years back? I really hate Newpaper. And Wan Bao/Xing Ming Ri Bao. I read Wan Bao though, because it's the only Chinese newspaper my family buys and it's funny laughing at how hyperbolized some meagre news become. They're so terrible, they should be the next people to be stabbed after UCLES, although they haven't done anything against me or anybody I know, not yet anyway.

I watched Saw 5 already, Hongjie. I felt a little disappointed, ha. But it was good nonetheless. Better than Feast or Midnight Meat Train. Lol.

Okay byebye.
