Idea
Don't you think it's a fascinating idea to think that ideas aren't really invented, that they're merely discovered? Like maybe the idea of something existed a long long long time ago, say the idea of a motorcar existed 1000 years ago before any human ever thought of it?

You know, those times when you were thinking of something, and then someone comes to you from behind, shout a loud BOO and then you lost your train of thoughts and can't recall what you were thinking a moment ago? Have you ever wondered where those thoughts went? Can thoughts go anywhere in the first place. What if at that moment when you forgot something, the thought actually vapourise into air, floats around and hits somebody else seconds, minutes, or years later?

That's why maybe all ideas and thoughts that can be thought up of (invented) may already be invented 215489759187 years ago. And these ideas are just floating around waiting for somebody to pick them up (discovered). Maybe when PW wants us to generate ideas, it's impossible because we can't generate anymore ideas. We can only pick them up.

Maybe ideas exist in pockets (the way photons do HAHA QUANTUM) around us. Intangible, because ideas are intangible. That's the whole point of what I kept saying about Can we really control our own thoughts. If these ideas, thoughts are there all the time, we can't really choose what to think can we.

Haven't you ever wondered if you can really control your thoughts. All those talks about being optimistic and thinking only the positive. Is that even possible? You can't NOT think of the negative stuff without knowing what are the negative stuff first. And you can't NOT know what the negative stuff are without thinking about them first. So theoretically, it's impossible to not think of something without thinking about it first. Makes sense?

So at the end of the day, what we think is not based entirely on what we WANT to think, because our degree of control is so so limited.

Oh, and the other day, somebody asked me Why is that most people prefer their own opinions to someone else's? Don't you think it's a cute question to ask? Like have you ever wondered why you have a mind of your own, why we always question what others think and not take their opinions as our own?

But then I realise something even cuter. If I 'preferred' your opinion to my own, so I'll think your opinion is more true than mine, then I presumably would change my opinion to match yours, and your opinion would become mine. So you can't really prefer someone else's opinion over your own. It's just, not possible.

But then again, most of our opinions are not just our own opinions anyway, since almost everything we know we know because of what other people tell us. There is very little you know entirely on your own, without relying on what others tell you.

Gosh. I'm a genius (Ken-talk in Proposal Daisakesun).

Ogay. Sorry to bore you. I just had to blog about it before I go crazy thinking about it. All thanks to the book I just started reading. Some philosophy book titled What Would Socrates Say? Meh.

Need some chips. And milk. Ohno. I forgot about dinner again. D:
